The lovers of diving know their way to travel is different from others. Its main objective is not to find a steep landscape on which to climb, an area with wonderful sunsets to take pictures of and much less, a city full of skyscrapers or museums.

For them, true beauty is under the sea, and therefore, those who can afford it, travel around the world looking for the richest seabed, perfect areas for swimming with sharks or trying to discover the most hidden face of the planet.

From South Africa to the Red Sea, through the Australian Great Barrier Reef, the ocean is full of underwater landscapes that offer those who dare to immerse a unique spectacle.

The Cayman Islands, Caribbean

The dives in this tropical zone offer a lot of visibility that allows you to enjoy tours of different sunken ships, various walls and the possibility of swimming alongside large raysturtles and other sea creatures such as brunettes, barracudas or butterfly or parrotfish.

A perfect place for diving and enjoyment is the Red Sea. This gulf that unites Africa with Asia is a reference in this sport due to the extraordinary diversity found in its waters. In the Red Sea inhabit more than 1,000 invertebrate species, more than 250 types of white coral and more than 1,100 families of fish that feed the famous coral gardens in the area.

In addition, the Red Sea also offers the possibility to the bravest to swim with sharks. But this only in the area of Marsa Alam or in Umbria (Sudan).

For example, the area near Cairns is quite suitable for beginners, since the dives are not very deep, and Ribbon, from where species such as sharks or barracudas can be seen, is perfect for expert divers since it has more difficulty.

El Hierro (Canary Islands), Spain

Although there are incredible international destinations for diving, those offered by Spain are not far behind. On the island of El Hierro (Canary Islands)one of the greenest points in the country, you can practice dives in La Restinga, in the southern part of the island.

There you can enjoy the spectacular seabed of the Canary Islands, and bathe with large specimens of plumbed rooster, groupers and on some occasions, also with devil blankets or whale sharks.

Cabo de Palos, in Murcia, Spain

Do not forget Cabo de Palos, in Murcia. The marine reserve of Cabo de Palos-Islas Hormigas received in 2015 the title of best diving destination of the European continent for being one of the areas of greatest underwater diversity in Europe. There you can enjoy the magnificence of the coastal walls in addition to a large number of marine species and coral formations.
