The asteroid is 4 kilometers long and has a speed of 31,320 km x hour.
On April 29 an asteroid will pass through the earth, it will have a speed that reaches 31,000 kilometers per hour. NASA takes advantage of this episode to share some images of the meteorite never seen before.
From the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies, they confirmed that asteroid 52768 (1998 OR2) is approximately 4 kilometers long. Its size and speed would make a crater 50 kilometers in diameter if it hit the ground. It should be noted that this is impossible.
NASA confirmed that the closest distance to Earth that this asteroid will pass, will be about 16 times farther than the distance between Earth and the Moon. This meteorite is not a problem for our planet.
Experts tasked with studying this object in the past century did not detect dangerous approaches to this object (1889 OR2) in the decades to come.
