SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Homicide Unit of the San Antonio Police Department confirmed that a 17-year-old minor turned himself in to the authorities for the disappearance and death of Sebastián Eduardo Vásquez Carpio, the 17-year-old who was disappeared in San Antonio.
The news of the arrest of the young man involved in the case of Sebastián Eduardo was known on Friday, October 2, through a press release sent by the Police press office.
Official information from authorities indicates that on October 1, the suspect, who is now 17 years old, turned himself into the San Antonio Police Department and was charged with murder. He was then transferred to the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center.
When did Sebastián Eduardo disappear?
Sebastián was reported missing on September 19, 2020.
Ana María Carpio, the young man’s mother, told media that the last time she spoke with her son was in a phone call he made on Friday, September 18, to let him know that he was going to ride a bicycle. This was the last day she spoke to him.
When was he found dead?
On September 20, the body of the 17-year-old was found in the trunk of a burned-out vehicle on Duarte Street in Bexar County.
Where was he when he disappeared?
Several witnesses had pointed out that Sebastián had been seen for the last time in the house of a classmate from his school, where his bicycle was found along with several bloodstains.

In Monterrey Park, located in San Antonio, they found several of his belongings. Among them, his cell phone.
However, in another nearby park that is located about 20 minutes away, they also found a chain that belonged to the young man.
