San Antonio, Texas – The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo announced that it will take place in 2021 despite the coronavirus pandemic, according to a press release sent Thursday.
The rodeo, one of the most attended events in the city, is scheduled for February 11-28 at the Freeman Coliseum.
“Our mission to help educate the youth of Texas is at the forefront of everything we do, and hosting our Rodeo, cattle show and competitive events are critical to educating future generations,” said the CEO and CEO, Cody Davenport.
“In order to comply with current health and safety guidelines, the Freeman Coliseum is the most viable option to host our event while ensuring that we fulfill our mission,” he said.
A ticket to the Rodeo includes access to the cattle show complete with cows, pigs, chickens, sheep and goats, shopping stalls, family activities such as the petting zoo, pony rides, and educational exhibits to teach farm-to-table practices.
The event organizers will be releasing more information in the coming months.
