PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The Philadelphia police and t is investigating a shooting that left the least one person dead and six others injured on Thursday night.
It happened in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue around 7:46 p.m.
Police say a 29-year-old man was shot in the back, taken to an area hospital where he later died.
A 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old man are in extremely critical condition at a local hospital after being hit by gunfire.
Four other victims of the shooting sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The four victims remain hospitalized in stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
In separate events, a 56-year-old man was shot 15 and killed in the Hunting Park neighborhood of Philadelphia. It happened just before 8 p.m. in the 4500 block of North 13th Street.
Police said the victim was shot 15 times in the left side of her body.
He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where police said he was pronounced at 8:03 p.m.
No arrests have been made so far.
