ESPN aired last Sunday March 29 at 7 PM ET the event WrestleMania 32. This was the second of the three shows that WWE will broadcast on the channel during these weeks. The event recorded 720,000 viewers and a rating of 0.44. In the demographic group between 18 and 49 years, the data was 326,000 viewers and a rating of 0.25, ranking 38th in cable programming within that day.
For comparison, WrestleMania 30, broadcast on the same channel on March 22, managed to attract 839,000 viewers and reached a rating of 0.31 in the demographics of interest, establishing itself among the 30 most-watched programs of the night and as the most viewed by ESPN that day.
The WrestleMania 32 broadcast is part of an agreement between ESPN and WWE to rebroadcast previous editions of WrestleMania Ahead of this year’s edition of the event, WrestleMania 36. ESPN aired the 30th edition of WrestleMania on March 22, last Sunday WrestleMania 32 and next Sunday it will air WrestleMania 35.
It should be recalled that WWE intended to reach an agreement with ESPN prior to WrestleMania 36 to broadcast the show on ESPN +. However, the measures that WWE had to take due to the coronavirus caused the negotiations to not come to fruition. Nevertheless, WrestleMania 36 itself will air on FOX and FITE TV.
