WWE has announced that its first talent tests in South Africa will take place from Wednesday, April 29 to Saturday, May 2 in Johannesburg.

“South Africa is recognized for producing tough and uncompromising athletes proven by the enormously dominant performance of the Springboks rugby team last year to become world champions,” Triple H said in a press release. “I want to bring those same dynamic, powerful and entertaining qualities of South Africa’s best male and female athletes to WWE. My message to all athletes and wrestlers in South Africa is simple: This is your chance to change your life. Take this opportunity to follow your dream and represent South Africa on the world stage as a WWE superstar. ”

Testing will take place during South Africa’s WWE live event tour, which will stop on April 29 in Cape Town and Thursday, April 30 in Durban, and then two dates in Johannesburg on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. Tickets for the tour are already on sale.

WWE has already had a couple of wrestlers within the company who are from South Africa, the current PJ Black in Ring of Honor was in WWE as Justin Gabriel and also Adam Rose is from this country.
