WWE releases its first official statement on the coronavirus

In recent weeks, worldwide apprehension about the Coronavirus epidemic has become literally unmanageable, with millions of people panicked by the possible global pandemic, which could lead the number of infected people to touch an unimaginable figure, after the last outbreaks in Italy, in America and East Asia.

“The health and safety of our fans, performers and employees are our top priorities and we are monitoring the situation closely with our partners and government officials in Tampa Bay,” the statement read.
“We remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, and like other entertainment properties in the U.S., there are currently no plans to cancel or postpone our upcoming events.”

Therefore, the entire WWE calendar remains unchanged at the moment, with the leadership of the federation who wanted to clarify how Wrestlemania will air as established on April 5th, at least as long as the infection remains under control as it is now.
