WWE hires Irish wrestler Valkyrie

WWE continues to strengthen the ranks of its British division, NXT UK. On this occasion, the leading company in the sector has noticed the Irish wrestler Valkyrie, who has already signed her contract officially as reported by specialized portals such as Fightful. The details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The news has been confirmed by Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, a company where Valkyrie trained and took her first steps as a professional wrestler in 2015. Subsequently, she herself has revealed her arrival to the cast of NXT UK.

Known in the brand as Aoife Valkyriethe Irish wrestler made her debut in the latest taping of NXT UK facing Amale and Dawn Island, respectively. You can read more details of the spoilers here. It should be remembered that this was not the first contact between superstar and company, as Valkyrie was one of the 18 wrestlers invited to participate in the access tests that WWE conducted in the United Kingdom in June 2019.

With only five years of experience, Valkyrie has become one of the emerging stars of the British independent scene. She debuted as a professional wrestler in 2015 and, since then, has become a regular member of the cast of Over The Top Wrestling (OTT), the leading company in her native Ireland. There she managed to win the Women’s Championship after beating Raven Creed. The wrestler successfully defended her belt against Creed herself and against Gisele Shaw, until she was defeated by Katie Harvey.

Valkyrie, 23, has also competed in companies such as the German Wrestling Federation (GWF), wXw (Westside Xtreme Wrestling) or Pro Wrestling EVE . In this last company she would be crowned as a tag team champion with Debbie Keitel , being jointly known as The Woke Queens, in October 2019. Valkyrie and Keitel won a tournament to crown some new monarchs after Erin Angel had to vacate the pregnancy title In the final, Laura Di Matteo and Mercedes Martinez were imposed.

The Woke Queens defended their championships only once, until Sammii Jayne and Gisele Shaw surprised them in December 2019, rising with the titles in the Pro Wrestling EVE Let’s Get Shitfaced & Scream Into The Void: A Christmas Wrestling event Spectacular.
