During this week’s Friday Night SmackDown broadcasts, it has been confirmed that Nikki Bella and Brie Bella will be part of the WWE Hall of Fame 2020 nominee list.

The news was made official during the “A Moment of Bliss” segment, which took place in the middle of this week’s SmackDown episode. Alexa Bliss recalled that the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is a few weeks away. 

After reviewing the only two nominations announced so far, the superstar introduced the both of Nikki Bella and Brie Bella as the third induction to the hall of fame. The twins did not hide their emotions when they were announced and thanked the public for the support provided in more than a decade of career.

The Bella Twins made their official debut during the second half of 2008. Both competitors worked as a team during their first years in the company. In 2011, Brie Bella won the Divas Championship, being her only ostentation within WWE. The following year, Nikki Bella would get her first reign with the same title. Both returned to WWE in 2013 after a short break. That same year. Nikki would get his second and last Divas Championship, this being the longest reign in the history of the title, lasting 301 days

Both competitors announced their retirement in 2019, focusing only on projects such as their work starring and producing the Total Divas and Total Bellas reality series, which have reached the ninth and fifth seasons respectively.

Recall that the WWE Hall of Fame 2020 will take place next Thursday, April 2 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. In addition to The Bella Twins, the other nominees are the six-time world champion Batista, and the WCW New World Order group (represented by “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman).
