Netflix has announced on its social networks the premiere of the first series that it has co-produced with WWE Studios, The Big Show Show. It will be next Monday, April 6, and will consist of a comedy in which it will be seen how Big Show must take on a very important challenge: educating his teenage daughter.

“When the teenage daughter of The Big Show, a famous WWE superstar, comes to live with him, his wife and his two daughters it is quickly outnumbered in number and intelligence. Despite measuring more than 2 meters and weighing more than 181 kilos, the center of attention no longer followsón” explains the synopsis of the series, which will include other stars such as Allison Munn (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn) Reylynn Caster (American Housewife), Juliet Donenfeld (Pete the Cat) and Lily Brooks O’Briant (The Tick).

The series will have 8 episodes of 30 minutes each and it will also feature WWE legends such as Mick Foley, Mark Henry or Rikishi.

First collaboration of the Netflix-WWE Studios union

In early January 2019, WWE’s film division, WWE Studios, reached an agreement with the producer and distributor Netflix to produce and broadcast the company’s next films and series on the streaming platform and also on the WWE Network is a powerful partner to improve the quality of its films.

In fact, the first collaboration between the two is also about to see the light of day: the movie The Main Event, which will be about an 11-year-old boy who dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. The protagonist will find a mask with magical powers and, covering his face, he will decide to sign up for a contest with a WWE contract at stake.

In the film, the presence of fighters and legends of the company has been announced as Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, The Miz, Beth Phoenix or Keith Lee. Its premiere is scheduled for the month of May.
