Matt Hardy will end his contract with WWE on March 1 and during the last weeks, there has been much speculation about his future in the company. Mike Johnson, a journalist for PW Insider, revealed a few hours ago at PW Insider Elite that Matt Hardy has not yet renewed his contract with WWE and that the problem is not money.
“The reality is this: if WWE wants someone to stay, they have the financial means to pay him and say: ‘Listen, we will give you more money than you thought you would earn in your whole life if you stay.’ What I have heard about Hardy is that money is not a big problem. He doesn’t want to be paid for sitting and doing nothing, he doesn’t want to be a bulky boy with a name. That’s why AEW or another place like that is something so positive for professional wrestling. ”
From what is known, Matt Hardy does not have a bad relationship with the WWE board, but he wants to fight longer and have his creative ideas accepted.
Recently, Reby Hardy, his wife, posted an image on Twitter depicting Vince McMahon breaking Matt’s ideas. Supposedly, that would confirm that Hardy has presented his ideas to the management and creative team, but has not been heard.
Although Matt Hardy is not receiving the attention he wants, it is said that his main objective is to stay in WWE. If this is not possible, you will not rule out looking for another workplace and All Elite Wrestling is the juiciest option because of your current business status. However, as far as is known, Matt Hardy continues to negotiate with WWE.
