Independent promoter Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW) announced on its official website that Matt Hardy will be present at its next MECCA VI event that will take place this Sunday, March 15 from Sam’s Town in Las Vegas. This will be Hardy’s second appearance since the end of his contract with WWE since a few hours ago he participated in a convention in New York.
Then we leave part of the statement published by FSW, which details the passage of Matt Hardy within the promoter:
“Former Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW) heavyweight champion Matt Hardy will return to FSW in MECCA VI. After becoming a free agent just a few days ago, he returns to Fight Capital where he won the FSW heavyweight title in summer 2014 against the promoter Hall of Fame member ALKATRAZZ. Hardy promised fans he would hold the belt as if he were his own son, and his reign lasted 203 days until he lost it with Brian Cage in FSW.”
In 2016, at the FSW Seventh Anniversary event, Matt Hardy was scheduled to face the then champion, Killer Kross, but for reasons unknown to this day, Kross did not appear. The FSW officers did not simply want to give Hardy the title, so he signed to face the first FSW Champion, Kenny King.
Matt managed to take away the FSW Champion and sought to unify it with the Killer Kross Heavy Championship. Finally, both fighters met in a steel cage where Kross achieved the unification of titles that would be called “FSW Universal Championship”. That match marked Hardy’s last appearance within the promoter.
During the last few days he has hinted that there will be bigger and better things for “Broken Matt”, and this time, Las Vegas fans will be the first to see that he will have us ready. Welcome again, Matt! “
