Josh Barnett has confirmed, through his official Twitter account, that he will face Jon Moxley in the third edition of the Josh Barnett’s: Bloodsport show, an event that will be held on April 2, 2020, at The Cuban Club in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. It is planned to be the star combat of the show.

Both were scheduled to meet at the Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport II show on September 14, 2019, but the match was canceled after Moxley suffered an elbow infection, which also affected his participation in the All Out event where it was scheduled to fight Kenny Omega and was replaced by PAC. Finally, Josh Barnett faced and defeated Chris Dickinson in Bloodsport II. After the fight, Barnett promised to fight Jon Moxley later.
The Bloodsport event is a shoot wrestling show in which the ring has no strings and is only won by KO and submission. The first edition was called Matt Riddle’s Bloodsport, where Minoru Suzuki beat Matt Riddle in the stellar event. The second edition was known as Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, where Barnett faced Minoru Suzuki in the stellar event and the fight ended in a time limit draw. In the third edition,
