Impact Wrestling will have to wait to bring back one of their best events. Lockdown has been canceled after St. Clair College of Ontario, Canada has announced that it is closing the campus and they cancel any event that was to take place until early April.
The company with which the event was held, BCW (Border City Wrestling), has released a statement explaining what happened. “For our valued Border City Wrestling fans, St. Clair College has canceled all events on campus, including Lockdown, until early April due to Coronavirus prevention efforts.”
However, Impact Wrestling has already announced that it intends for the event to take place elsewhere and with all possible security measures. ” We are currently exploring all the options available for the event to take place while taking into account public safety and the guidelines of health professionals,” they explained.
The Lockdown event was created in the year 2005 with the particularity that all the scheduled matches take place inside a steel cage. The event was held annually until 2016. The last such event took place on January 30, 2016, as a specialist in London.
