The Ungovernables of Japan are the new NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions. The team formed by Shingo Takagi, BUSHI and EVIL took the victory in the preshow of the second day of Wrestle Kingdom 14, the great event of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).
The Ungovernaires were imposed on the former champions in the final meeting of the Gauntlet Match that took place this Sunday, January 5. both teams that previously participated in the Gauntlet were BULLET CLUB (Yujiro Takahashi, Chase Owens & Bad Luck Fale), CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, Robbie Eagles & YOSHI-HASHI) and Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Taichi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru).
Although it is the fourth time that the team is done with this title, it is the first time that Shingo Takagi is part of the six-man tag team championship, occupying, in this case, the place of SANADA. The reign of Ryusuke Taguchi, Toru Yano, and Togi Makabe were the longest in the recent history of this championship, dating from 2016.
Although the New Years Dash card, an event that takes place tomorrow, Monday, January 6, has not yet been confirmed, this show can mark the first official defense for the brand new champions. The bouts of the show will be announced at the opening of the show.
