All Elite Wrestling commentator Jim Ross confirmed in an interview his intention to continue in the company as a commentator and advisor once his current contract expires. It should be remembered that Ross signed a contract last April for three years, considered in AEW as “the most lucrative agreement for a commentator in the history of wrestling.”
In an interview in the Sports Media Podcast with Richard Deitsch, he was asked about his future after finishing the contract with AEW and stressed his intention to continue in the company. “Someone asked me the other day what I would do when my three-year contract with AEW and the Khan family expired. The first thing I did is thank you for assuming I would continue to live, ” he said.
” What I would like to do, probably, is to renew it a few more years and get another one. I’m going to give you an example, there is a legend in the comments of the professional struggle that is Vin Scully, and he was up to 80 years. If he, he could do it, I tell myself why I can’t do it, “said Ross, who also had a few words for younger fans.
“After these words, I think I have scared several, if not many, young fans of wrestling. They will think that this old bastard will continue to comment on struggles until he is 80 years old. The first thing I tell you is to relax a little, which always goes well. The second thing is that I don’t let myself go. I have control of my life and I will know when to stop. “
