Cuningham park, Queens – Authorities stopped an illegal rave that took place in a Queens park early Sunday morning, according to the New York City Sheriff’s Office.

Officers discovered the clandestine party just before 2 a.m. at Cunningham Park. They say that around 110 people were drinking alcohol, smoking hookah, and dancing without masks without maintaining social distance.

The DJ, a security guard, and two assistants were arrested and now face multiple criminals and civilians, officers said.

Authorities have been cracking down on coronavirus safety regulations amid an outbreak of cases in parts of Brooklyn and Queens.

Notably, the party did not take place within one of the coronavirus “hot spots,” where stricter restrictions have been imposed.
