Governor Andrew Cuomo will be questioned this weekend by investigators from the state Attorney General’s Office in connection with allegations of sexual harassment by multiple women, according to a report.
Two outside attorneys hired to lead the investigation by Attorney General Letitia James will interview Cuomo in Albany on Saturday, sources told The New York Times.
The attorneys, Joon H. Kim, and Anne L. Clark have spent four months collecting testimonies from multiple women who have accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct or harassment and have recently interviewed senior administration officials in preparation to question the governor.
The Cuomo interview may indicate that the investigation is entering its final phase, according to the outlet.
“We have repeatedly said that the governor does not want to comment on this review until he has cooperated,” said Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi.
