CHICAGO, Illinois.- The Lynwood Fire Department has just reported that it safely captured the alligator that had been first seen on Wednesday in a lake in the Lynwood suburb, and whom a boy started calling “Alex.”
The reptile will be quarantined for 30 days and will then be sent to a reptile park located in southern Illinois, authorities reported.
Lynwood police and firefighters used a drone to try to locate the reptile. For their capture, they worked together with the Chicago Herpetological Society.
