Chicago, Illinois – Chicago Police reported the most recent of these incidents in Englewood early Wednesday morning. In which, as happens in the others, from moving cars they throw paint firecrackers at the residents.
This took place at 1:20 a.m. at 6100 South Ashland Street. The victim was a 61-year-old woman who was shot from a red truck with a paintball gun, hitting her in the hand. She reportedly refused treatment.
The other two, according to police reports, had taken place Tuesday night in West Town and the West Loop. The first at 1800 West Hubbard Street. There, a 34-year-old man was on his bicycle when someone from a white sedan started shooting, hurting his arm and groin.
The other incident was reported between Morgan and Monroe streets. It was about a man who was walking his dog when he was also hit with firecrackers. None of them were seriously injured and so far the police have no further details on the suspects.
Similar attacks had already been recorded in the Chicago Center last month. Detectives in area three continue to investigate.
