A shooting in Humboldt Park, northwest Chicago, left two women injured. It happened this Thursday, July 15, at approximately 3:00 in the morning in a place where a social event was taking place, in the 3800 block of West Chicago Avenue.

The shots were allegedly fired by a man during an altercation but it is unclear if the women were involved in that discussion.

One of the 22-year-old women sustained two gunshot wounds to her leg and the other woman, 25, was shot in the right thigh. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment and are in good condition. So far there are no arrests in the case.

This was just one of at least 5 shootings that occurred overnight in Chicago. Two of these incidents were fatal and occurred in the North Lawndale and Austin neighborhoods.
