On Thursday evening, the whole of the UK applauded doctors and nurses who are doing their best to fight the virus during the Corona crisis. The British royals also took part in the campaign.

Since then, people have been forced to stay at home to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus to slow down, a new custom has developed in many places around the world.

People gather at their windows or balconies and applaud or sing for the medical staff who are currently struggling to fight the coronavirus at night.

Applause across the UK

A nationwide campaign took place in the UK on Thursday evening. Every citizen should take the time at 8:00 p.m. to applaud once for all Corona helpers. That led to moving pictures and videos on Thursday evening.

The British royals also took part in the solidarity campaign. Prince William and Duchess Kate posted a video on Instagram showing her three children applauding Charlotte, Louis, and George.
