Georgia – The state issued a warrant for the arrest of Dick Donovan on Thursday; A jury charged him with four criminal charges, including bribery and lying under oath.
Most of the allegations stem from his relationship with one of his staff members.
According to the indictment, Donovan issued an order dismissing the criminal charges against the prosecutor’s client in the hope that the prosecutor would in turn dismiss the charges against the Donovan employee.
Donovan always denies the charges and faces five to 20 years in prison if convicted and fines up to $ 100,000.
The prosecution also claims that Donovan made false statements in a sworn statement when he denied that he wanted to have sex with this employee of his office.
