Two men got into a fight on political issues near a president event Donald Trump in Doral on Friday in Miami, and one of them fired a firearm, according to authorities.
The incident occurred near Northwest 87th Avenue and 27th Street, a few minutes after Trump arrived at an area church for a meeting with a group of Venezuelans.
According to the incident report, a person who passed in a car where several were congregating on the occasion of Trump’s visit to Doral, lowered the window and began to argue with a man identified as Luis Orlando Diaz.
The driver first drove away but then returned back to the scene and continued the discussion that started to rise in pitch.
At that moment Diaz went to his car, took out a firearm, returned to where the other person was and continued arguing with the weapon in hand and trying to reach inside the vehicle.
The person who was driving tried to flee the place, but while he was driving away, Diaz shot a tire.
Diaz was arrested and the police filed the corresponding charges. He was transported to the TGK prison.
President Donald Trump, landed at the Miami airport at noon on Friday, to visit the headquarters of the Southern Command in the city of Doral, where he discussed issues related to drug trafficking.
He then met with members of the Venezuelan community in South Florida.
