Oxford, North Carolina – The family of Alexis Ávila Hernández, 16, complains that the police did not investigate his disappearance. Agents found the minor’s vehicle without seeing that his lifeless body was a few meters away. The young man’s mother returned to the scene and discovered what she feared so much.
“My son was dead and shot twice,” confessed Guillermina Hernández in the middle of tears. Alexis’s mother still does not understand why the uniformed men did not find her son’s body.
“I don’t understand why they didn’t look for him, if he was nearby. Maybe he was still alive in the morning, ”he told Media.
Guillermina explains that officers told her that her son’s car was involved in a car accident around 5:45 am, but that “there was no one at the scene.”
Upon learning the address of the accident, María Ávila Hernández, Alexis’s sister, convinced her mother to move to the scene. The family reached a wooded area and on one side of the road a log was seen, allegedly impacted by the minor’s vehicle.
“She starts walking and yelled at us, here she is,” Maria recalled.
