Los Angeles, California – A six-year-old boy was struck by a man on a motorcycle who fled after the incident in a residential area of Sylmar, reported the Los Angeles Police (LAPD).
The family asks the community to help identify the person responsible who left the minor seriously injured. “When I sit down it hurts a little,” says six-year-old Kaden González, who was run over on October 24 while skateboarding near his home.
” I heard my son screaming, crying, and his father crying and screaming. I ran and I just found him there on the floor,” said his mother Esther López, who asks the person in charge to reconsider: “You hit a child Not to an adult, and you just leave him there. You didn’t care if he’s alive or dead. ”
The accident occurred around 6:30 pm between Cobalt streets and Encinitas Avenue in Sylmar, north of Los Angeles. Following the accident, Kaden was transported by paramedics to a trauma center in the San Fernando Valley.
Surveillance video captured the moment in which the motorcyclist attacks the boy and the impact throws him against the pavement. The man also falls to the road, however, he gets up, puts on his helmet, and walks away from the scene, leaving the minor lying in the middle of the road without giving the child first aid.
“At the moment we are looking for the cooperation of the community to help us find this person, ” said Lisette Fuentes, LAPD detective, and recalled that “it is the law that they have to stop, give their information, provide help.”
The motorcyclist is described as a 20 to 28-year-old Latino, 5’6 “tall, with black hair.
Los Angeles Police are offering a $ 25,000 reward to anyone who provides clues leading to the identification and putting behind bars of a motorcyclist who ran over a 6-year-old boy in the city of Sylmar and fled the scene without assisting the boy.
