The Phoenix Police Department reported it received a call Sunday about a missing girl. The officers arrived at a residence in the 2900 area west of Thunderbird Road, upon arrival the officers met with the girl’s mother, who informed them that “she could not locate her daughter Delilah.”
The mother was later identified as Tianna Jones, 23.
Officers began searching the area and at some point, Jones informed officers that his vehicle keys were missing, the police report indicates. Officers walked to Jones’s car and found the vehicle was parked. Officers looked inside and located Delilah inside the vehicle without responding, ”Phoenix police say.
According to Phoenix police, Delilah was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Jones had reportedly fallen asleep for more than 3 hours and Delilah had left the residence and made her way to the parked vehicle and got into the vehicle, where she remained until officers found her.
